Jake Knowles Bags Pair of Top-5 Finishes at “The Hornet’s Nest”
Boyds and Dixie Speedway Scheduled Next

ROME, Ga. (04/28/21) – Jake Knowles enjoyed a solid weekend at Talladega Short Track behind the wheel of the Welshan’s Competition Racing Equipment No. 66 C&J Trucking/ Robert Skinner Racing/ Savage Chassis Late Model.

Battling a tough field of competitors, and even severe weather, Knowles came away with a pair of Top-5 finishes to show for his efforts, including a runner-up finish in the finale.

“We had a good weekend at Talladega. We passed eight cars to finish fourth on Friday passed sixth to finish second on Saturday. I’ve just got to qualify this Savage Chassis better, so that we aren’t starting the night behind the eight ball,” Knowles said. “Thanks to all of my sponsors and crew for their support. I also want to thank Adam Stewart, Crate Racin’ USA, and Talladega Short Track for sticking out the rain delay on Saturday and giving us a good track to race on.”

Friday night found Jake Knowles in action at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) to pilot his Knowles Race Parts & Bodies No. 66 Late Model for the NASCAR weekend. With 32 Crate Racin’ USA Series entries on hand, Knowles edged his way into the opening night feature with a runner-up finish in his B-Main. Rolling off 12th, Jake advanced forward eight spots to register a fourth-place finish, trailing Matt Henderson, Cody Overton, and Jason Welshan across the line with Austin Horton coming in fifth.

For the $2,500-to-win finale on Saturday, Jake clocked in eighth fastest in time trials, which positioned him eighth on the starting grid for the show. Passing six cars in the 50-lap affair, Knowles notched a runner-up finish behind Austin Horton with Christian Hanger, Jimmy Thomas, and Tanner Collins rounding out the Top-5 finishers.
