Bad Boy Weekend Up Next for COMP Cams Super Dirt Series
Over $17,000 Possible-To-Win at Batesville Motor Speedway on May 7-8

Conway, Arkansas (05/03/21) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series presented by Lucas Oil is preparing for its richest standalone event of the year. This weekend, May 7 – 8 the 2021 edition of the Bad Boy 98 weekend comes to life at Mooney Starr’s Batesville Motor Speedway. Over $65,000 in cash is up for grounds during the course of the two-day affair, which is headlined by the $5,000-to-win Joe Garrison Memorial on Friday night and the $12,000-to-win Bad Boy 98 on Saturday night.

“This is a huge weekend for our series with two complete shows and two great purses up for grabs,” noted CCSDS CEO, Chris Sullivan. “It’s also special to have the inaugural Joe Garrison Memorial as part of the weekend. Joe meant so much to so many of us, and it only makes sense for this race to be held at Batesville Motor Speedway. Last but definitely not least I want to thank Bad Bow Mowers for their awesome support of not only our event but racing as a whole. They truly go above and beyond to support motorsports.”

Entering the high-profile weekend, defending CCSDS Champion, Logan Martin continues to sit atop the standings as the Midwest Sheet Metal Marked Man. However, just 10 markers removed from the top spot is Mississippi’s Brian Rickman, who is in pursuit of his first-career crown with the tour. Kyle Beard is 70 points out of the lead with B.J. Robinson just 80 markers back.

Hunter Rasdon, Ashton Winger, Morgan Bagley, Billy Moyer, Scott Crigler, Brayden Proctor, Chad Mallett, Mike Collins, and Wesley Wise round out the current series’ standings.

Brayden Proctor currently leads the Midwest Sheet Metal Rookie of the Year battle over Mike Collins and Wesley Wise.

A star-studded list of invaders are expected to join the fray in pursuit of a weekend sweep, which would post over $17,000. Additional expectant entrants include Jonathan Davenport, Earl Pearson Jr., Billy Moyer Jr., Spencer Hughes, Tony Jackson Jr., and more.

After seeing an Open Practice Session held on Thursday, May 6, the inaugural Joe Garrison Memorial will be held on Friday night, which posts a $5,000-to-win / $400-to-start purse for the 30-lap affair. On Saturday night a complete program will be contested, which culminates with a 68-lap, $12,000-to-win / $600-to-start finale.
