Tyler Stevens Tops Late Model Action at The Rev
$10,000-To-Win Battle of Boothill Up Next

Searcy, Arkansas (05/09/21) – After more than a month removed from the driver’s seat Tyler Stevens returned to action over the weekend with a pair of Louisiana events in his W&W Timber No. 2 Stallion Transportation Group / XR1 Rocket Chassis Crate Late Model.

Stevens overcame mechanical issues on Friday night at Boothill Speedway to register a podium finish, while Saturday night found him Victory Lane at The Rev. The win marked his fifth of the 2021 season.

“It was great to shake the rust off this weekend and get some track time in preparation for the big show at Boothill Speedway this coming weekend. I honestly believe we had the car to beat both nights, but electrical issues got us while leading the heat race on Friday night. We were able to come from 19th to third in the feature, so it wasn’t a bad night,” Stevens shared. “Then on Saturday night we hit the ground running and never looked back to get the win at The Rev. Hopefully we’ll have this much speed this coming weekend in the $10,000-to-win event at Boothill.”

After a lengthy break from racing action, Tyler Stevens and TLP Motorsports returned to action over the weekend with a trip south to Louisiana for a pair of events. On Friday night the action opened at Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, La.) and Stevens’ night seemed to be off to a good start as Tyler led his heat race in the Frazier Accounting Crate Late Model division. Unfortunately, his luck soon took a turn for the worse as electrical issues forced him to relinquish the lead and heat pitside.
The team repaired their issue for the feature, which found Stevens starting 19th on the grid. Despite being pinned deep in the field, Tyler rallied to finish third.

On Saturday evening at The Rev (Monroe, Louisiana), Tyler enjoyed a great night as he picked up his fifth win of the 2021 season. After finishing second in his heat race, Stevens started the feature in the fifth position.

The finale found him racing to the front of the field to pick up a hard-fought win over Brandon Ball.
This weekend – May 13-15 – the team will return to Louisiana’s Boothill Speedway for the seventh annual Battle of Boothill, which posts a $10,000 winner’s check for the Crate Late Model division.
