SPRING CITY, TN – Exciting racing action will surround a festive atmosphere for race fans of all ages this Saturday night at Mountain View Raceway. There will be points racing for six weekly Divisions, plus a special appearance by the Sharp Mini Late Models and the 4-Cylinders. It will also be Fan Appreciation Night with a $5 General Admission/Tier Parking ticket price.

While most of the action will be focused on the ¼-mile high-banked clay oval from the Late Models, Sportsman, Beginner Sportsman, B-Hobby, Thunder and Front-Wheel-Drive Divisions; racers and sponsors have teamed together to do something special for the kids in attendance this Saturday night at Mountain View Raceway.

Mountain View Raceway Kids Coordinator Jenny Davenport reports the first 100 kids 11 years of age and under through the gates this Saturday night will receive a free Hot Wheels car. The drivers will toss candy to the kids at intermission, and there will also be Kids Face Painting going on throughout the evening. The kidos can also climb into a Late Model simulator that will be on hand.

There will also be special prizes for Adults as well because racers and track sponsors have donated everything from free oil changes to free General Admission tickets to future racing shows at Mountain View Raceway to be given away by either trivia questions delivered by Track Announcer, “Mr. Trivia” Roby Helm, or via a driver Frisbee toss with a certificate taped to it.

The action on the track will be fast and furious, as drivers from three different states will not only be battling for prize money, but also for valuable points towards the 2021 Track Championships in their respective racing Divisions.

The defending Late Model Champion Barry Goodman of Spring City, TN leads the standings with 152 points driving the Charlie’s Used Auto Parts CVR. Goodman holds an eight-point lead over Christopher Peak of Evensville, TN in the BS Welding Mastersbilt with 144 points. Josh Collins of Knoxville, TN is third with 128 points driving the Knoxville Diesel Rocket.

Harley Maginness of Dayton, TN is fourth in the Mountain View Raceway Late Model standings with 120 points driving the Maginness Racing Mastersbilt and two-time winner John Ownbey of Cleveland, TN rounds out the top five with 98 points in the Orr Brothers Construction Kryptonite.

David Doss of Cleveland, TN is the new Sportsman point leader in the Doss Racing Rocket with 170 points. Tyler Dennis of Dayton, TN is six points behind in second with 164 points driving the Dennis Racing Special. Aaron Watson of Dayton, TN is third with 158 points in the Watson Construction Capital.

Early season point leader Addison Cardwell of Knoxville, TN drops to fourth in the Shorty’s Motorsports PPM with 150 points, and last Saturday night’s winner Jeremy Hicks of Cleveland, TN driving the Hicks Motorsports Warrior moves up to the fifth spot with 142 points.

Bradley Goodman of Spring City, TN is the point leader in the Beginner Sportsman Division with 238 points. Goodman announced after winning the main event last Saturday night that he and his Goody’s Power Sweeping Rocket will be moving up to the Sportsman Division.

Jeremy Thurman of Rockwood, TN is 28 points back with 210 points and will be looking to move up in the Addison’s Complete Auto Repair GRT. David Peak of Evensville, TN is third driving the BS Welding Rayburn with 208 points. Tyler Loden of Spring City, TN is fourth with 198 points in the Lashes and Waxing by Paige GRT and Christian James of Soddy Daisy, TN rounds out the top five with 172 points driving the Morgan Septic Service Rayburn.

Travis Sietsema of Crossville, TN is the Open-Wheel Modified point leader with 188 points driving the Tee’s Home Improvement LG2. Billy Palmer of Knoxville, TN trails by 14 with 174 points in second driving the Palmer Racing Special. David Lester of Rockwood, TN is third with 132 points in the Cadillac Grill Loose Griff.

Robby Reagan of Crossville, TN holds down the fourth spot in the Open-Wheel Modified standings in the Jackson Outdoors Lightning with 128 points and Sarah Patrick of Albany, KY rounds out the top five in the Upchurch Carpet Coyote with 118 points. The Open-Wheel Modifieds will have the night off this Saturday night.

Johnny Hughes of Graysville, TN is the B-Hobby point leader driving the Hughes Farms Monte Carlo. Hughes has 234 points and a healthy 54-point lead over David Beeler of Sevierville, TN in the Kodak Tractor Camaro. Beeler is second with 180 points. Jim Gilbert of Rossville, GA is third with 142 points in the Gilbert Racing Special.

Lamar Hughes of Soddy Daisy, TN is fourth with 116 points in the Mountain View Raceway B-Hobby standings driving the Hughes Farms Special. Dylan Johnson of Dunlap, TN rounds out the top five with 98 points driving the Johnson’s Farms Camaro.

Cody Satterfield of Knoxville, TN is the Thunder Division point leader with 234 points in the Satterfield Racing Monte Carlo and holds an eight point lead over Chris Williams of Soddy Daisy, TN in second driving the Ameka Wilkey Monte Carlo with 226 points. Clayton Forsyth of Crossville, TN is third with 220 points in the Forsyth Motorsports Chevelle.

Bobby Davenport of Crossville, TN is fourth with 212 points driving the Davenport Racing Special, and Scott Smith of Soddy Daisy, TN rounds out the top five in the Mountain View Raceway Thunder standings with 174 points driving the Smith Racing Camaro.

The Adams Brothers of Crossville, TN are one-two in the Front-Wheel-Drive point standings, just four points apart. Nick Adams has 196 points to lead the standings in the Grave Digger Chevrolet HHR and last Saturday night’s winner Nathan Adams is second with 192 points in the Adams Racing Special.

Billy Long of Niota, TN is third with 180 points in the Long’s Painting and Remodeling Chevrolet, and Tyler Walton of Crossville, TN is fourth with 170 points driving the Walton Racing Special. Jason Crowder of Loudon, TN rounds out the top five in the Front-Wheel-Drive Division at Mountain View Raceway with 148 points in the Crowder Racing Special.

David Dunlap of Clinton, TN is the Dwarf Division point leader with 198 points driving the C&D Tires Chevrolet. Dunlap holds a ten-point lead over Hunter Rich of Jamestown, TN. Rich has 188 points in the Rich Racing Special. Randy Bailey of Soddy Daisy, TN is third with 138 points driving the Chattanooga Seamless Guttering Ford.

Jimmy Delaney of Cookeville, TN is fourth with 92 points in the Delaney Racing Special and Ed Bray of Cookeville, TN rounds out the top five with 88 points driving the Common Farms Chevrolet. The Dwarf Division will have this Saturday night off at Mountain View Raceway.

On Saturday at Mountain View Raceway, the Pit Gate opens at 3 p.m., and the Grandstand/Tier Parking Gates opens at 4 p.m. Pre-Race Technical Inspection and Registration will be from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and the Drivers Meeting is set for 5:45 p.m., with Racing scheduled for 6 p.m.

Pit Passes are $25 for Adults, $15 for Children 6-12, and Children 5 and under are admitted Free. The Special Fan Appreciation General Admission and Tier Parking ticket prices are $5 for race fans 12 and older, and Children 5 and under are admitted Free.
