Rod Conley Debuts New Car to Top Five Finish in Dan Reno/Jackie Boggs Memorial!

(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) Rod Conley and the Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) team invaded Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio on Saturday night, May 8 for the 'Dan Reno / Jackie Boggs Memorial.' The Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Series presided over the action, which was headlined by a $13,004 to win main event.

Rod, who was debuting a brand-new XR1 Rocket Chassis, clicked off the ninth fastest time in Group B during the qualifying session before grabbing the fourth transfer spot through his loaded heat race. The Wheelersburg, Ohio ace then improved nine spots during the course of the 50-lap feature and left the former K-C Raceway with a stellar fifth place showing. "Hot Rod" trailed only victor Devin Moran, Jacob Hawkins, Jared Hawkins, and Tyler Erb at the unfurling of the checkered flag. The #71r team will continue their 2021 campaign this upcoming weekend (May 14-15) in a doubleheader in the Buckeye State. Rod will travel to Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio today for tonight’s $5,000 to win Super Late Model shootout. The dirt-slinging action will then shift back to Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio on Saturday evening for another unsanctioned program, which boasts a $3,000 payday.
