Running hobby stock full size v8 on clay track, rules are all season street tires no LT, AT or winter tires. I have been using higher load range (102) tires with the most aggressive tread I can find for an all season tire. I figure the higher load range gives a stiffer sidewall so I can run lower pressures without the tire rolling off the rim. Does anyone think there is a disadvantage to the higher load range and what would you be looking for in a street tire for hobby stock dirt racing?
