so is JD running the Lucas Oil series or what? He's third in the points and I think he's attended all the events.

He missed Brownstown for Bristol, but they canceled mid race anyway, so he technically didn’t miss anything. I’m assuming he’s running the tour.

They are supposed to complete that Brownstown race. So, he will have a miss.

Will skipping Brownstown in favor of the race at Bristol keep him from being eligible for series provisionals or am I way behind on this topic?

I'll give the announcer props. He introduces every driver and their sponsors, then does a complete family tree and life history. Been a long time since I have heard an announcer even attempt that.

Is he actually eligible to take a provisional for a race he didn't attend, where a b main was already ran?

He's probably going to miss again for that big show in Texas.

Yes, he is eligible. As long as he competes in the races leading up to that race. Rick Schwallie explained how its stated in the rule book on the Rigsby report that he done. And correct,JD stated they aren't going to Texas.

That's why I like the POWRI announcers Jim Childers and Connor Wade, they do a great job of announcing as well.
