Default Rockets pounding the cushion, Longhorns on the bottom and through the middle

Looks like the newer Longhorn cars are better at racing on more of the track surface. Rice, Erb and Bronson had no right spoiler left and they were the guys running the top tonight, and all in Rockets.

I’ve seen Erb win this year running high, low, and middle. Rice and Bronson are going to bang the cushion every chance they get. You may have a legit theory, but I’m not sure those three are the best examples of it.

The top three cars were moving well in any lane on the track and all Longhorns. There's just something about the way they turn. Rockets look to my amateur eyes like they need to be a little sideways in corners to have any speed.

Terbo and Bronson are throttle mashers and will drive wherever the car is best at.

But when they got it right (especially early before the cushion shrunk and they could keep it off the wall), their corner exit speed was brutal

4 out of the top 5 would’ve been Longhorns if Dohm didn’t have his issues. Hard to win 100 lappers when you’re missing deck metal and spoilers

I remember when Davenport put on an absolute clinic, rolling the middle, in a GR Smith Rocket, at the World 100.

I am still baffled as to why the Rocket 1 car was not there chasing 50K and learning how to get better.

Oh wait, it was a Lucas race. So dumb!

Rocket1 has run 15 Lucas races on the season. That’s hardly ducking the Lucas tour. They haven’t run the N/S in years because it’s a rare weekend off in the middle of the season right after their most brutal travel stretch.

It's really not that baffling. Except for someone like you.

Rocket1 hasn't been there since like 2009. Weiss (former winner) Madden (former winner) wasn't there.

Realistically if you look at their schedule. The off weekends they've had 1 weekend was the double dream, the other weekend was the Show Me. Other than the rainout June 18-19th and a small break in the middle of May. They've been on the road since April 23rd.

Isn’t BShepp always among the leaders for most races entered every year?

I know for sure BShep was at the north south in 2015-2016 and I don’t believe that was it. He’s definitely missed last couple years, and I don’t blame him for staying close to home racing for good money with his family right there with him.

I remember that too since it was about the only time I saw someone win anything there driving that lane.

Why can't a guy spend time with his family and race for a living? I can think of guys that make it work just fine.....

Dad and Grandpa like to see that B5 car out there a few times a year, especially in victory lane close to home.
