Brandon Kinzer Lands on Podium at Bulls Gap; Baltes Classic Next for Kinzer Motorsports

(LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY) Brandon Kinzer and his #18 Open Wheel Modified team traveled to the ultra-fast Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee on Saturday night, August 28. A weekly Open Wheel Modified show was held at "The Gap" and a $700 payday was on the line.

Brandon stopped the clock second fastest overall during qualifying and later started the 20-lap feature from the outside of the front row. After leading the first four circuits, BK was hit from behind on a restart and was shuffled back several positions. At the checkers, the Lexington, Kentucky ace found himself on the podium in the third spot behind only victor Wayne James and runner-up Chad Ogle. Complete results from Volunteer Speedway can be accessed online at www.volunteerspeedway.com.

The Kinzer Motorsports team will tackle one single event over the busy Labor Day holiday weekend, as they will venture north to the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on Sunday, September 5. The annual running of the ‘Baltes Classic’ will mark the last opportunity for the Super Late Models to get laps before the ‘World 100,’ but the Open Wheel Modifieds will also be showcased on the track this Sunday evening. A $1,000 top prize will be up for grabs for the open wheel warriors at the “Big E.” More information on the ‘Baltes Classic’ can be found by logging onto www.eldoraspeedway.com.
