    Default Knoxville Pre entries slim

Was just looking at the pre entry list for Knoxville. Unless I'm looking at it wrong, there only seems to be about 24 cars. Would this be due to the Texas race being scheduled at the same time or is it that no one pre enters. Sort of looks disappointing. No Bloomquist this year as well as some other noticeable teams. Not sure what to expect this weekend.

Bloomquist has been pretty irrelevant for awhile. Other than merchandise sales your really not missing anything whether or not he's there.

Trying to find a entry list for the Texas event but nothing I can see. Would guess Dillard will be in TX. Surprised not to see Gustin on the Knoxville pre-entry.

4 days at eldora, tire shortage, engine part shortage and Texas. I'm sure it all has something to do with the car count not being as big as usual

I heard they have 31 teams signed up also heard texas has had 65 Super Lates Signed with Pierce Bloomer as well as others signed in. Its sort of the IMCA Supernationals like i heard. I would expect 40 or so at Knoxville. Just sad that it used to be a big crown jewel but with it close to Eldora and the money being paid in Texas it took alot from the entry list that normally go.

Texas took Moyer, Pierce, Overton, and Bloomquist away from Knoxville.

Knoxville still has Davenport, Sheppard, McCreadie, Owens, Tyler Erb, O'Neal, Marlar and others. Going for the 1st time in 8-9 years and can't wait.

Bloomquist merchandise at Bristol made me think he was committed to doing the Bristol/Texas/Vegas deal as he was promoting all 3 events on his shirts so I'm not too surprised by that. Don't forget you also have the $50,000 Crate race in La as well. Some maybe saving laps on their open motors and staying closer to home to run that deal. I can't ever recall a single weekend with 3 $50,000 to win Late Model events at the same time. While it can hurt car counts at certain events, hard to complain with so many money options for the drivers.

Seems as though the crate race will be flooded out.

Does the Texas event pay $10,000 Friday? I thought I read somewhere that it did, but dirt on dirt doesn't show that.

They have a 10,000 to win race at Texas Friday also. Also heard that is was $500 tow money as well. so not too shabby. It will hurt Knoxville. I bet 10 to 20 cars that normally run Knoxville wont be there this weekend with the World being 4 days and Texas and then you add in other regional races and lack of tires and gas prices high. Would say 40 tops.

Pre-entry for Texas has 24 cars, no way they come anywhere close to 65 but definitely going to hurt Knoxville.

Why would Texas schedule over the top of Knoxville. Is there not another weekend that would work. They are hurting themselves by scheduling over a big payer like Knoxville. Doesn’t make sense to me.

Their biggest draw will be in the lower classes whether or not they ran LM

Twin Worlds last week had to be brutal, I don’t care how deep your teams pockets are. That’s a butt kicking week. Then a bunch went to Fairbury after that. I’d be surprised if they had 40 cars after that deal. But maybe they will come around. I’d say they need a break. This isn’t NASCAR. A lot of these crew people have other jobs etc.

Bloomquist won’t have any late models in Texas. Only the mod.
