Jimmy Mars Records Podium Finish in 46th Annual Red Clay Classic

(MENOMONIE, WISCONSIN) Riding a recent hot streak from a pair of WISSOTA special event wins, Mars Racing found themselves in the pit area on October 1-2 at ABC Raceway in Ashland, Wisconsin. The 46th edition of the 'Red Clay Classic' took place last weekend and a $5,700 winner's check was up for grabs for the Late Models. Jimmy Mars won his heat race in preliminary action and later moved up one position during the course of Saturday's 40-lap feature to land on the podium in third behind only victor A.J. Diemel and runner-up Pat Doar.

In WISSOTA Modified action at ABC Raceway, Jimmy drove past seven competitors during Friday's heat race to finish third in his prelim. After rolling off from the outside of the seventh row in the $4,000 to win headliner, the Menomonie, Wisconsin ace eventually brought his #28 MB Customs mount home in the eighth finishing position. Complete results from the 'Red Clay Classic' weekend can be found online by clicking on www.abcraceway.com.

The #28 team will enjoy the upcoming October 8-9 weekend away from the racetrack, but this does not mean that Jimmy has necessarily called it quits for the 2021 campaign. The popular driver known as “The Iceman” would like to race at least a couple more times this year depending on the weather and work commitments at Mars Race Cars. Keep your eye on any added dates to the schedule page on www.JimmyMarsRacing.com.
