Safe to say that in this country we don't do math well. Well, at least some of us.
It would be great if those who don't do math well would be able to analyze and trust the numbers. Kids are not a great risk for Covid. Survival of Covid for kids under age 18 is well over 99%. Kids should be back to in-person school and not burdened by daily mask wearing because of Covid. Those who teach kids in school are they themselves at low risk. The rates for Covid survival at age 65 is well over 98% and most public school teachers are retired ten years before they reach 65. But hey, jab the kids.
But here is where they actually do math well. Covid has created at least nine new billionaires since the start of the pandemic. So yeah, let's vaccine and vaccine and vaccine. Because new drugs make people money.
Now look at the example of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh with a population of 240 million. They have a less than 6% vaccination rate and have almost wiped out their Covid cases in one of the poorest regions of India. Why? They give Ivermectin as a prophylactic preventive treatment on a large scale. But, "horse paste" as the left likes to call it, is already off patent and in generic form so nobody is making bank on it.
Not saying vaccines are bad. If you are in a risk group you should probably make your choice to get it. Not saying Ivermectin can take the place of a vaccine because it doesn't. But it is showing promise as a preventive from getting and transmitting Covid in large populations. But the WHO and the the talking head classes just continue to push vaccines. Vaccines which still have people getting Covid after they've had their jab and transmitting the virus to others.
