SPRING CITY, TN – Mountain View Raceway will host Championship Night this Saturday and will crown the 2021 Track Champions in its seven Weekly Racing Divisions. While there are two more nights of racing in the 2021 season on the ¼-mile high-banked clay oval, this Saturday night will be the final points-paying night of the season.

In addition to the final points night for the Late Model, Sportsman, Beginner Sportsman, Open-Wheel Modified, B-Hobby, Thunder and Front-Wheel-Drive Divisions, the Junior Front-Wheel-Drive Division for kids 15 years of age and younger will be in action, plus three events that were postponed due to rain on October 2.

The B-Hobby Division will run Double Features, the Front-Wheel-Drive Division will compete in Double B-Features, and there will be a pair of Pretty In Pink Powder Puff Races to commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Power Puff Races, one for V-8 powered race cars and another for Four-Cylinder powered race cars, are for non-racing ladies.

Barry Goodman of Spring City, TN will be looking to capture his third straight Late Model Championship at Mountain View Raceway. Goodman won the last Late Model Championship at the old Spring City Raceway several years ago, and won the title last season after the track was refurbished and renamed Mountain View Raceway.

Goodman leads the standings with 840 points driving the Charlie’s Used Auto Parts CVR. Christopher Peak of Evensville, TN driving the BS Welding Mastersbilt is second in the standings with 610 points and Tommy Miller of Soddy Daisy, TN is third with 460 points in the Miller Racing Mastersbilt.

Joe Bray of New Tazewell, TN will be looking to drive the Bray Roofing Rocket to the 2021 Sportsman Division Championship. Bray leads the standings with 824 points and Bradley Goodman of Spring City, TN is second with 780 points in the Goody’s Power Sweeping Rocket. Tyler Dennis of Dayton, TN is third with 660 points driving the First Farmers Bank Rocket.

David Peak of Evensville, TN will try to wrap up the 2021 Beginner Sportsman Championship on Saturday night driving the BS Welding Rayburn. Peak has 1,000 points and Christian James of Soddy Daisy, TN is second driving the Morgan Septic Service Rayburn with 836 points. Tyler Loden of Spring City, TN is third with 826 points driving the Lashes and Waxing By Paige GRT.

Billy Palmer of Knoxville, TN is in a position to earn the 2021 Open-Wheel Modified Division Championship on Saturday night in the Mighty Muffler and Brakes Tinch. The legendary East Tennessee driver, who turned 70-years-old on October 2, leads the standings with 900 points. Walter Walsh of Claxton, TN in the Walsh Racing Special is second with 704 points and David Lester of Rockwood, TN is third with third with 688 points in the Cadillac Grill Loose Griff.

Johnny Hughes of Graysville, TN in the Hughes Farms Monte Carlo and Jim Gilbert of Rossville, GA in the Rat Rod Chevelle will battle it out for the 2021 B-Hobby Championship on Saturday night in Double Features. Hughes leads the standings with 946 points, and Gilbert is second with 922 points. David Beeler of Sevierville, TN is third with 732 points in the Kodak Tractor Camaro.

Another Division with the 2021 Championship up for grabs on Saturday night is the Thunder Division. Clayton Forsyth of Crossville, TN leads the standings with 978 points driving the Forsyth Motorsports Chevelle and Chris Williams of Soddy Daisy, TN is second driving the Anneke Wilkey Monte Carlo with 942 points. Bobby Davenport of Crossville, TN is third with 910 points in the Davenport Racing Special.

The 2021 Championship battle in the Front-Wheel-Drive Division will be a Family Affair. Crossville, TN brothers Nick and Nathan Adams in their Adams Racing Specials are one-two in the standings. Nick Adams leads with 932 points and Nathan Adams is second with 884 points. The third-place driver is 14-year-old Nate Ingham of Athens, TN with 742 points driving the Ingham Racing Honda.

On Saturday, the Pit Gate opens at 3 p.m. and the Grandstand/Tier Parking Gates open at 4 p.m. Pre-Race Registration and Technical Inspection will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Drivers Registering after 6 p.m. will start at the rear of a Heat Race or get one lap of Qualifying. The Drivers Meeting is set for 6:15 p.m.

Pit Passes are $25 for Adults, $15 for Children 6-11, and Children 5 and under are admitted Free. The General Admission and Tier Parking ticket prices are $10 for race fans 12 and older, Children 6-11 are $5. and Children 5 and under are admitted Free. All Children must be accompanied by an Adult.
