Brandon Kinzer Set for Weekend Off Following Top Five Boyd’s Speedway Effort

(LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY) Brandon Kinzer and Kinzer Motorsports found themselves in the Chattanooga area on October 8-9 for the 'Pretty-in-Pink' weekend, which was sanctioned by the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series. On Friday night in the $1,200 to win weekend opener at Boyd's Speedway, Brandon knocked down the tenth quickest lap overall during the qualifying session to earn the outside of the fifth row for the start of the 20-lap main event. BK then worked his way past a couple of competitors during the A-Main to land in the eighth finishing position.

At the Ringgold, Georgia facility on Saturday evening, a $3,000 top prize was up for grabs for the open wheel warriors. Brandon clicked off the second fastest time during qualifying prior to securing a victory in his loaded heat race. After rolling off from the outside of the front row in the 30-lapper and running second virtually the entire race, the Lexington, Kentucky ace slipped back two spots late and was paid for a fourth place performance behind only victor Nick Hoffman, Ricky Arms, and Cole Falloway. Full results from Boyd's Speedway can be viewed online at www.imdirt.net.

The #18 team is now set to enjoy a couple of weekends away from the grind, but plans to return to racing action at the end of the month from October 28-30 at the pristine Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, North Carolina. The 6th edition of the ‘World Short Track Championship’ will be held that weekend at the 4/10-mile, Charlotte-area oval and the Open Wheel Modifieds will be one of nine divisions on the card. Competition will get underway that Thursday with a $600 to win preliminary event, while the big show on Friday and Saturday will shell out a $4,000 winner’s check.
