Sabine Speedway Fall Showdown Double Duty Up Next

LAFAYETTE, La. (10/19/21) – Shane Hebert visited Victory Lane for the second-straight week on Saturday evening. The Louisiana driver piloted the Brandon Hightower Racing / Joey Brown Plumbing No. 9 Cajun Pools / Bicknell Racing / XR1 Rocket Chassis Super Late Model to a $2,500 triumph at The Dirt Track at Texas Motor Speedway.

His win, which came aboard a Bill Elliott tribute car during the Texas Throwback weekend, marked his fifth of the season.

“Shane did a great job of taking our No. 9 Rocket Chassis to Victory Lane on Saturday night. That’s five victories in seven starts for our driver in the Crate Late Model division this year. I really appreciate the great job he’s doing, and hopefully we can keep the momentum rolling this weekend at Sabine (Speedway),” team owner, Brandon Hightower said.

On Friday, Brandon Hightower Racing trekked to Texas Motor Speedway (Justin, Texas) with Shane Hebert sporting a Bill Elliott-themed No. 9 Late Model for the opening round of the two-day Texas Throwback.

In a field of 25 entries, Hebert dropped one spot in his heat race to record a fourth-place finish. Rolling off 10th for the opening night feature, Shane ran high as second in the 25-lapper but settled for a fourth-place finish when the checkered flag flew. He followed Steven Whiteaker, Kevin Ramey, and Beau Begnaud across the line.

The following night, Shane’s sixth-to-fourth run in his heat race positioned him third on the starting grid for the finale. Outrunning Friday night’s winner Steven Whiteaker, Hebert stormed to his fifth win of the season, which came ahead of Whiteaker, Dean Abbey, Philip Houston, and Kevin Ramey. He earned $2,500 for the victory.
