The 80th running of the 2nd longest continuous race (2nd longest only to the Indy 500) in America, The Turkey Night Midget Grand Prix, is in the books. 1st 1/2 of the 98 lap race was near epic but as is sometimes is the case the 2nd 1/2 was a rubbered up choo-choo. Logan Seavey was the winner with 2021 USAC Midget Champion Buddy Kofoid 2nd.

The weather was gorgeous and we had a blast in Southern California. Took 4 days and stops at the Unser racing family museum in Albuquerque, NM and the Grand Canyon to get to Placerville and then on to Ventura. We were astounded at the price of gas and saw some less populated and beautiful areas of SoCal and it was worth every minute and dollar spent.

Thanks to over4T for some pointers to us flat landers from an experienced Californian! Heading for home via a couple days in Vegas, thru Utah and visiting close friends for a day or two in Denver and again in Kansas.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, we sure did. Next race, Du Quoin, Leffler Memorial indoor USAC Midget show Dec. 18th just in time for Christmas!
