    Default John Padjen Passes Away

The Hall of Fame promoter died early today at 87. He promoted Silver Dollar Speedway and Placerville Speedway for decades until stepping down about 10 years ago.

Long time announcer at Chico, Troy Hennig, wrote a heartfelt very nice piece about the Gold Cup founder that is more personal than I could write and, if you're interested, just go to www.silverdollarspeedway.com/hall-of-fame.

I was not familiar with Mr. Padjen but he obviously was a positive individual involved in California dirt racing.

Thanks for posting the sad news, over4T.
