If he hadn't started 1st and had to start mid pack or farther back would the results been the same?
I would say no. But...he qualified well, did his job in his heat race, won his qualifier Thursday, and then drew the pole. You do all that, your chances to win increase dramatically. The cards fell his way and he took full advantage of the situation.
Had Brandon Sheppard started further towards the front he appeared to have had the speed and moxie to give Carpenter problems. No way to ever know for sure but Sheppard looked fast enough to go to the front if time hadn't run out.
Pretty stupid comment...couldn't that be said at any event?
He was obviously the man/car to beat. No one could touch him on starts and re-starts.
You wouldn't have expected anything different would you? Thank you for comment! It depends on what track you're at. Looks like he just had it going on like HH25 said.
I’m nothing more than a fan of Tyler’s. I’ll admit he’s been through a lot recently, mostly of his own doing. None of us are perfect. But it’s nice to see a genuinely happy, appreciative winner in victory lane. I do think he’s missed out on bigger rides because of his choice of words, actions etc., but the guy keeps doing his best with what he has to win and move forward. Hoping for an uneventful off season so he can head into next year more focused than the last. Hey Dude!
