Speedway Motors Continues as Wild West Shootout Official Parts Supplier
FK Rod Ends Vado Speedway Park Hosts 16th annual Running of Mega Miniseries on January 8-16

Vado, NM (Dec. 23, 2021) — For the second-straight year, storied Speedway Motors will be the Official Parts Supplier for the Wild West Shootout presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts.

The 2022 edition of the mega miniseries will be held at FK Rod Ends Vado Speedway Park on January 8-16 with over $250,000 in prize money on the line.

“Anybody, who knows anything about racing knows about Speedway Motors, and their storied legacy. Having them continue to participate as a marketing partner with the Wild West Shootout allows the event to continue to grow,” event promoter Chris Kearns said. “Not only does their support bring further strength to our event, but it also provides racers a great service by having a well-stocked part’s vendor on hand throughout the miniseries. Some of the drivers travel as far as 30 hours to race with us, and it’s a nice peace of mind for them to know that if something breaks, they have the ability to purchase a replacement part onsite.”

Speedway Motors will supply the track’s part vendor, Rick’s Performance with a wide array of items to service the racer’s needs during the event.

Speedway Motors was formed in 1952 in Lincoln, Nebraska by “Speedy” Bill Smith. He was inspired to create the company to fill the void of availability for custom and aftermarket parts. Not only did he develop many of the high-quality parts that he sold, but he also ran them on his own racecar. As a result, he quickly learned what would be the best choices for his customers.

Fast forward 70 years later, and Speedway Motors is still family owned and run with the same family values upon which the company was originally built. They’ve expanded their customer-base to include motorsports enthusiast around the globe. While their home base is still in Nebraska, their newest expansion is located in Phoenix, Arizona.

“Speedway Motors came on board with us for the 2021 Wild West Shootout, and it was a no-brainer for them since their newest location in Phoenix was just minutes from the track. When I told them that we were relocating to New Mexico for 2022 (due to Arizona Speedway closing), they didn’t blink an eye in confirming their continued support,” Kearns shared. “I think it says a lot about their loyalty and investment in the motorsports world to continue their support of the Wild West Shootout, even as we shifted several hours east.”

The new Phoenix retail location also serves as a West Coast distribution center, which enables Speedway Motors customers to get their parts shipped to them quicker.
