    Today we lost another friend Ron Slavic to Covid and the after affects from it.



    Clearly says "after affects"
    not from covid , I mean the flu ... wait ...
    I mean the common cold ... wait ...
    I mean not being healthy to begin with

    That is a big loss for many teams especially the Rocket 1 team. Thoughts and prayers for his family.

    He passed away with double pneumonia. He developed pneumonia after he had Covid. He had other underlying conditions. Sad to see him go. Way too soon.

    Ron was also a SLM driver and car owner in the late 90's and early 2000's. Saw him race at Challenger and PPMS. Some STARS and MACS also i think. Always willing to talk racing. When he was making all Chubs shirts he used to offer a Slavic shirt, in trade, to anyone he saw wearing a Chub shirt made by another vendor. I thought that was kind of neat!!! He will be missed.

    Sad news to hear this. This covid deal continues to be confusing. Some have it and never know while others die from it.. quite a range. Couple of questions.. did Ron work in the trailer at the races? I may have talked to him and didnt know it. Seems I saw the trailer was for sale at the World Finals.. I wasnt focused on the sign just seems I read that.. if so was he planning to get out of the business?
