Just heard he passed away today of cancer

The ageless veteran won back on August 8 of last season at the ripe age of 79 years of age! ! ! ! ! A wise promoter could have had a standing room only event by billing a special match race at a neutral track in betwixt Delmas and Red Farmer !!!!

I was a Delmas Conley fan for many years, he was the biggest legend in this area and it wasn’t even close. What’s crazy about Delmas is he won almost 600 races but I swear he was faster in the last 10 years of racing than he was the 10 years before that. Racing around here definitely won’t be the same. Jackie Boggs and Delmas Conley both gone, it’s hard to believe
