This isn’t a slam even though some will say it is…..I don’t think BP would do any better on a super team. He and they just seems like they thrive and succeed with the whole “ us against the world, everyone is against us” mantra they wear on their shoulders.
Now if someone steps up and throws unlimited funds for them to buy and replace what gets torn up and still stay together as the mystery machine team…..that would be lethal…..until everyone got tired of fighting or meeting at off ramps.
Where is the move over flag when you need it?????

BP would probably be more suited for midgets or sprints considering his rim riding expertise. His style and Overtons are total opposites.
As far as the Rocket house car, BShepp is far better than BP as he can perform anywhere on the track and run the cushion just as well.

Eric wells drove that program for how many years? Won how many races? Give the dude his credit

The difference between BP and BO... BO went out on the road and learned to do it himself. From the outside it sure looked like he begged borrowed and did everything but stole rides to keep going down the road no matter how bumpy it got. The sport takes grit and BP doesn't have anywhere near as much as BO. He put in his time or whatever you prefer to call it and it shows. I believe Marlar in his younger years had a similar path

You get a track that has a cushion and BP can run with anybody. Other than that, he ain't nobody.

The knock on him used to be the exact opposite. His development has been hurt by the fact his cars can only be successful running like that. You put him in the 76 and he'd come around. It would probably take a little time, but he would become a complete racer.

BP does have talent. I think the one thing that has hurt him is the circus environment that surrounds him. Will he ever get away from it ? Who the heck knows, many thought that Dunn Benson deal was going to be his ticket to bigger and better things.

Overton keeps the cars and all equipment in Georgia, Eric Wells doesn’t even go to Eldora with him. He has about the same idea what Overton’s load numbers are as everyone else in the pits
