Thread: EPJ Retirement

    Unhappy EPJ Retirement

Watched his interview with Ben Shelton on Flo and he said he’d be happy to get two more years in, I always imagined EPJ being one of those guys who stayed around into his later age. Sad day when The Hurricane calls it quits, huge fan since I was a kid and he’s the hometown guy. Maybe he will get into one of them deals like Francis did they are good faces for the sport.

Yea can't disagree with that. He has carried that lucas banner for awhile so maybe there is something there for him when he decides to hang the helmet up.

I saw the interview. My impression was that EPJ still wants to go out and kick ass and win races 👍

Doesn’t EPJ have a kid that’s started racing?

I could see him retiring from active driving to look after his son’s racing like Rob Blair and Donnie Moran.

Yes, I believe Trey runs crates. I’m sure Earl wants to help him get his career started.

No, Trey hasnt raced in several years!

I could see Earl as a racing consultant in our area. Lots of crate racers and tracks that run them!

Interesting. I didn’t know he hasn’t raced lately. Any reason why?

Oh I think he still has that fire, and I hope he kicks ass until he hangs it up. He said he hasn’t forgot how to drive and he’s right. I hope he makes some of these negative 4Mers eat their words
