Just My Opinion but it will be interesting to know if this event will happen next year with the car counts way down this year becuase of drivers and teams citing the high expense of racing there at that being the reason many didn't go back this year.

not sure lower car counts are because of expenses. at least the sole reason.

last year was a novelty. 1st time event. not likely to be repeated.

kind of like when the late models made the first appearanne in 2000. and then 2001. and then not again.

i know a bunch of teams from iowa went last year just for the experience. and despite the weather, they had a great time.

hopefully the latemodels will succeeed both weekends and it will be worth the time, effort, and money for all involved.

Huck mentioned that he spent 1345 between pit passes for three adults and one child and the entry fee for his car. Most teams will likely spend even more than that.

That might keep car counts down, especially at the second show.

If he makes just one show he will get a minimum of $2500. Make both shows and get 5000 plus some point money if you go both weekend so not too bad.

That sounds high. If pit passes are $100 for adults and $50 for kids, did he pay $1000 for entry fee? Not trying to start anything. The numbers just don't add up.

Did they charge an absurd amount for hauler parking passes last season? Seemed like I recall people saying something about that last season but I can't completely remember how much they charged.

That could be part of it. I believe entry fee is $500.

I believe they did. I think extra for 4 wheelers too. It is a back gate event.

40 late models at Cherokee for WOO. Saw John Hodgkiss post on twitter earlier, Bristol pit admission for 3 adults and 1 child with a 4 wheeler was $845 for the weekend. An additional $500 to register the car to race. Believe WOO and Lucas can be marked safe from XR ruling the world.

How many folks were in the stands? Looked empty & the racing wasn't good either! Quite rough. Really hope tomorrow & next weekend is better! At least JD came from the back.

I think the novelty of Bristol dirt will wear off pretty quickly, just like it did in the early 2000’s. It’s a neat event but once you’ve seen it, meh.
