There’s a 0% brownstown races. Cloudy with rain showers with temps falling all day and 41° With a 15-20 mph north wind at 5:00. Move on. If he was stupid enough to try and races hes gonna lose his a$$

Hoosier dirt fan and shinny are 2 of the good ones on here. I for one am grateful they do what they do. Keep people informed. All the money they make from doing this ! They must need deep pockets to carry it all.

Based on latest Facebook post from Atomic, if Brownstown is canceled on Saturday then Atomic might be as well even if the weather is good on Sunday.
-
Ma Nature is not really a race fan! Not a great start to the year with rain. Maybe we can make the wife a little happier instead!

Atomic is talking about their sprint car and steel block late model show for Saturday Night. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series race is scheduled for Sunday with hot laps at 5 p.m.

Thanks for clarifying James, it just said touring series so was kind of vague.

From Brownstown Speedway's Facebook Page - Cancelled
With this most recent round of storms that just passed through and dropping temperatures along with more rain throughout the day on Saturday, we just see no way of having the track in the best possible shape by race time. This is a tough decision to make for any promoter and series, however, we would rather give everyone enough notice now before everyone burns too much fuel headed our way.
If you are currently at the track camping, please stay alert and weather aware.

Need to quit trying to race the Icebreaker in March. Need to move it to around mid April.
-
There’s nothing wrong with trying to hit a home run in the early season. People complain about the year it doesn’t happen but some of the best racing and biggest car counts from brownstown have come from this race. I’ve seen it 70s and sunny for this race several times.
-
2 days either direction from Saturday and this goes down as A perfect early season, glad someone tries something early when nothing is going on type of race. But It didn’t work out. Try again next year. I just wish they would have called it a few days ago when it obviously wasn’t gonna happen rather than letting a lot of people show up to camp in false hope
-
^exactly, central PA kills it with there early season races if they have a nice day, but if it's not nice out you just cancel and move on
-
People are itching to get out of the those up in the northern states. You cannot quit scheduling races just because of a big "IF." You never know what you get this time of year. It was 75 degrees the day of the smokey mountain race, and the ground was covered with snow the very next weekend. If they hadn't scheduled that race, people would be whining around wondering why there weren't any races attempted on those nicer days. You just have to take what you get.
