    Default Wright State basketball player

Sorry if this has already been posted before. Watching the NCAA tournament and they did a little side segment on a Wright State player. I’m assuming he’s the star of the team. Anyway, he’s from southwest Ohio, and he talked about his grandpa being his hero. How much he taught him and how much he respected and looked up to him. His grandfather has recently passed away. Then they cut to some dirt racing footage, which totally caught me off guard. Definitely wasn’t expecting that. Anyway, turns out the kid’s grandpa was …

Dirt late model Hall of Famer … Delmas Conley. Great story.

Dale was also drafted by the Lakers. Probably the only dirt racer to ever have his face on a basketball card.

Delmas was a avid high school basketball fan. It was nothing out of the norm to see him at a high school game somewhere in his area on Friday nights. JT was a solid player himself in high school.

Last week during the horizon league games, Tanner wore his grandpas shirt during warm ups. The kid is a baller. I believe they said he was 2nd best free throw shooter in the NCAA. I know he made his fare share tonight.

He just scored 37 points in their 93-82 victory over Bryant.
Next up:#1 seed Arizona on Friday.
I think Delmas would be a very proud grandfather!

Since we on basketball and it’s kind of refreshing to jump over to another sport every once and awhile on here. That dang Notre Dame-Rutgers was a helluva game. Who is everybody’s pick to cut down the nets ? I’m pulling for Gonzaga myself but wouldn’t surprise me if it’s Arizona or Kentucky winning it all.

The kid from Wheelersburg was darn impressive.

Arizona and Purdue in the final. Purdue has the talent but they've lacked the defense, particularly their on ball defense. Ivey is the real deal and they have the bigs to frustrate a lot of teams. I think they make a run.

Brendan Gaughan played for Georgetown in college. He was there with Allen Iverson.

Jayden Ivey is a lottery pick. Maybe player of the year.

For sure, I don't think he's player of the year but he's a top 5 NBA selection. I imagine player of the year will go to Oscar at Kentucky or maybe Johny Davis at Wisconsin.

Correct call on your part for Oscar Tshiewbe being named player of the year.

Oscar won the AP award yesterday and the Naismith award today. That’s the two biggies. I’m a lifelong Kentucky fan. Grew up 10 minutes from the UK campus. Oscar is my favorite UK player ever. As great a player as he is, he’s an even better person. Congrats, big guy.
