They said they would be taking the asphalt up after August pavement races- not putting dirt on top of it.

Right. They will have regional series races on old asphalt in August then remove old asphalt and have dirt races on the dirt for slm, BB mods, sprints and other classes in October. After that they will pave it for 2023.

I think they could announce $50k to win Super late model race with free admission for the fans along with $1 hotdogs, $1 hamburgers and .50 can drinks and some would complain that the food was not free.

They should be able to do that. Marcus/Bruton aren’t spending there money yet. All work so far has been done by volunteers. Next summer the $18 million federal Covid money starts rolling in. The rich just keep getting richer!
I think it’s pretty obvious as to who is bankrolling the XR Series.

Totally agree, it will probably be $ hitty racing just like the races were for the Super Late Models at Bristol.

Foxfire is right 👍. Also this track is over 6 tenths of a mile in length. Is that too big for a dirt track now a days? Who will show? I guess the XR people will.

Knoxville (IA) is big 1/2 mile and races fine.

It's also established, covered in the best dirt in the country, ran by people that know what they're doing, and last but not least, hard on motors.

They won't get any more cars for these races they did for Bristol IMO

I will probably go if they ever have another cup race there. The dirt races will be sleepers, except for the stocks of course.

Other tracks should get this money in North Carolina if they will not get a cup race at North Wilkesboro.

Just race at an actual proven dirt track, it's not rocket science.

No kidding. They're is just short of a 1000 dirt tracks in America to pick from. Maybe for indoor events but other than that, I just don't get the dirt over pavement thing.

Federal infrastructure money should not be thrown into this ultimate failure. We already seen what a failure dirt divisions at Bristol is. Bristol also highly failed at their asphalt Short Track Nationals.

Bridges are falling apart as we speak. This is a private business venture. But the government is corrupt and designed to feed money back to the wealthy. This seems like a huge scam to get federal money.

I see another piece of information that seems like a scam.

    Limited ti 120 entries.

What race gets 120 entries these days?! Maybe the Imca Nationals?

They got 30ish cars for $900k at Bristol!
