Tanner English on Podium in Outlaw Invasion Opener; Four-Race Week Ahead

(NORRIS CITY, ILLINOIS) The Riggs Motorsports team spent their April 22-23 weekend at Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio, as the World of Outlaws Case Construction Late Model Series presided over a pair of special events dubbed as the 'Outlaw Invasion.' On Friday night in the $10,000 to win weekend opener, Tanner English timed in seventh quickest in Group B during the qualifying session prior to running third in his loaded heat race. After rolling off from the inside of the fifth row in the 40-lap main event, Tanner moved up inside of the top five and was eventually paid for a strong third place podium effort behind only victor Tyler Erb and runner-up Josh Rice!

At Atomic Speedway on Saturday evening, a $15,000 top prize was up for grabs in the weekend finale. Tanner knocked down the ninth fastest lap in Group A during time trials before placing sixth in his heat race and third in his B-Main. The Benton, Kentucky hotshoe then blasted past ten competitors during the 50-lap headliner to leave the Buckeye State oval with an eleventh place showing. Tanner now finds himself fourth in the latest version of the WOOLMS national point standings. Complete results from both weekend shows can be accessed by clicking on www.woolms.com.

Tanner and his #81E team are about ready to embark on a huge, lucrative week of racing that kicks off later tonight, April 26 at the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. The Castrol FloRacing Night in America Series will kick off their season tonight at the “Big E” and a $22,022 payday will be on the line. A similar $22,022 to win program will then be held on Wednesday, April 27 at Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana.

Following the pair of mid-week specials in the states of Ohio and Indiana, Riggs Motorsports will dip south to the Volunteer State to rejoin the World of Outlaws Case Construction Late Model Series at the dirt-covered Bristol Motor Speedway. The 2nd edition of the ‘Bristol Bash’ will take place on Friday and Saturday at the famous Bristol, Tennessee facility. On each occasion, drivers will be gunning for a $25,000 windfall in a 30-lap feature event.
