Imagine being a favorite to win a rare million dollar race and your driver has to be at a wedding.

In which his driver said it was more important to be at his friends wedding. Says a lot about the type of friend Larson is.

Because that is the correct answer to tell people, even tho everyone knows he’d rather be racing. 😁

It says more about the respect he has for the friendship they have…….of course he would rather be racing, but to put that aside and be there for one of his best friends is all about respect.
Where is the move over flag when you need it?????

Exactly BBQ, I'm sure he would rather be racing for the Million but, that just shows the respect he has for his Friend. Speaks volumes.

We had our wedding scheduled to be after race we had scheduled in 1993, The DTWC. Because of rain it got moved back until the next weekend. Needless to say we were in a hurry to slide away from the reception to beat feet to West [ By God ? ] Virginia ! We honeymooned at the track because there were no vacancies in Parkersburg until the next day. It would have been a sin to schedule an event on race day back then. I felt guilty arriving late at a track because we were at my sons graduation !

Probably scheduled on a Wednesday because of Larsons Cup schedule.
Some should remember, the Rumley late model ride is not his primary job.
