Rod Conley Closes Out Tripleheader with Top Five Showing; Ohio Valley Visit Next

(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) The #71R team and driver Rod Conley competed in a huge three-day weekend from April 22-24 in the states of Ohio and West Virginia. Things kicked off at Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio, as the World of Outlaws Case Construction Late Model Series presided over the two-day 'Outlaw Invasion.' On Friday night during the $10,000 to win opener, Rod unfortunately just missed out on transferring into the 40-lap feature after placing eighth in his heat race and fourth in his B-Main. At Atomic on Saturday evening, Rod finished sixth in his heat race, third in his B-Main, and sixteenth in the 50-lap finale, which shelled out a $15,000 paycheck.

The action then quickly shifted to the sprawling West Virginia Motor Speedway on Sunday for the track's season opening event. A $10,000 top prize was up for grabs at the storied Mineral Wells, West Virginia speedplant. "Hot Rod" ran third in his heat race to earn the inside of the third row for the start of the 25-lap feature event. The Wheelersburg, Ohio native then maintained his position during the course of the contest and eventually recorded a solid fifth place effort behind only victor Max Blair, Ryan Montgomery, Devin Moran, and Tyler Carpenter. Full results from all three weekend races can be found online at www.woolms.com and www.wvmotorspeedway.com.

Fresh off the busy weekend, Rod and his Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) team are scheduled to invade Ohio Valley Speedway in Washington, West Virginia later tonight for the ‘Topless 50.’ The unsanctioned Super Late Model program on Friday, April 29 in the Mountaineer State will boast a $5,000 winner’s check.
