Dennis Erb, Jr. Brings WOOLMS Point Lead into Bristol; Welcomes New Sponsor!

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) After weeks of inclement weather and rained-out events, Dennis Erb Racing finally returned to action over the April 22-23 weekend in a doubleheader at Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio. The World of Outlaws Case Construction Late Model Series presided over the 'Outlaw Invasion' at the Buckeye State facility, which kicked off with a $10,000 to win opener on Friday night. Dennis Erb, Jr. laid down the sixth fastest lap in Group B during qualifying before grabbing the third transfer spot through his heat race. Dennis then advanced into the top five during the 40-lap main event and was officially paid for a fourth place performance behind only victor Tyler Erb, Josh Rice, and Tanner English.

At Atomic Speedway on Saturday evening, a $15,000 top prize was up for grabs in the 'Outlaw Invasion' finale. Dennis qualified fourth quickest in Group B during time trials prior to nabbing another third place finish in his heat race. After rolling off from the outside of the sixth row in the 50-lapper, the Carpentersville, Illinois ace blasted towards the front, battled with Brandon Sheppard for the point in the late stages of the contest, and eventually recorded an impressive runner-up effort - only 0.675 seconds behind winner Sheppard. With the pair of strong runs over the weekend, Dennis stretched out his current WOOLMS point lead and now finds himself ahead by 44 markers. Full results from the 'Outlaw Invasion' weekend can be found online at www.woolms.com.
