Rod Conley Hard Charges to Top Five at Lake Cumberland; Jim Dunn Memorial Next

(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) The #71R Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) team made the trip to the Commonwealth of Kentucky on Saturday, May 14, as the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Series presided over the 'Wayne's Auto Repair 40' at Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, Kentucky. A total of 16 Super Late Model entrants converged on LCS to do battle for the $7,500 payday.

Rod Conley knocked down the fourteenth quickest lap overall during the qualifying session before placing sixth in his stacked heat race. "Hot Rod" then started the 40-lap headliner from the outside of the sixth row, but did not stay towards the back for long. The Wheelersburg, Ohio standout worked his way past seven competitors to earn the Hard Charger spoils for his fifth place effort behind only victor Eli Beets, Michael Chilton, James Rice, and Payton Freeman!
