Rod Conley Lands on Podium at Atomic; R.J. Conley Claims Top Five in 4B4EVER 40

(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) Rod Conley kicked off the July 9-10 weekend in action last Saturday night at Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio. An unsanctioned show was held at the 3/8-mile oval and a $3,000 top prize was up for grabs. Rod stopped the clock second quickest overall during the qualifying session and later secured an impressive win in his heat race. After starting the 25-lapper from the outside of the front row, "Hot Rod" wound up on the podium in third behind only victor Josh Rice and runner-up Devin Moran!

On Sunday, R.J. Conley joined his brother in competition at Brushcreek Motorsports Complex in Peebles, Ohio for the annual running of the unsanctioned '4B4EVER 40.' R.J. placed second in his heat race and later started the 40-lap headliner from the inside of the fourth row. The Wheelersburg, Ohio ace then blasted up inside of the top five during the contest and eventually crossed underneath the checkers in the fifth finishing position behind only winner Zack Dohm, Devin Moran, Josh Rice, and Devin Gilpin.

Rod, on the other hand, ran fifth in his heat race and won his B-Main prior to storming past seven racecars during the $10,000 to win affair to land in the tenth spot. Complete results from both Buckeye State facilities can be viewed online at www.atomicspeedway.net and www.brushcreekmotorsports.com.

Both Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) cars will be in attendance at the same venue this upcoming weekend, as Rod and R.J. Conley will make the short trek to Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio. A weekly Super Late Model program will be held on Saturday evening, July 16 and both drivers will be in the hunt for the $2,000 paycheck.
