Silver Dollar Nationals Replacement
With this being the final year at I-80, has there been any discussion of another track taking that weekend with a Crown Jewel event? The I-70 facility Lucas raced at tonight sure is beautiful but it needs to slow down some to be racey.

I wonder if the visit to Husets is an audition of sorts.

Husets is so narrow, I don't think it will race well for late models. Jackson MN is a nice facility and track, might be a better option.

Jackson is a nice facility, looks like a smaller Knoxville. I think Kosiski's will announce the successor after the Silver Dollar finale. Sad to see this event end, hope it goes on. Heading out Wednesday for the event.

Coming to Davenport Speedway!

That would be great.

I think I-70 would be a great place for it. The problem they had with it being so hooked up Thursday night was there were no support classes, no B Feature run, and with only 24 Late Models there were only 3 heats then straight to the feature. The track was still tacky when the feature started. The top drivers were running flat-footed all the way around. No wonder cars were overheating. They say it's a 3/8 but it's more like a 7/16 with a dog leg on the back chute.

I’d rather see that race go to Eagle Raceway in Eagle, Nebraska. The track isn’t to far to the south of the I-80 Speedway.

A couple of things:
Husets is the hot rumor to be the replacement event. Tuesday is very much a dress rehearsal for a possible future multi day event.
Eagle Raceway won’t ever host a big late model race or even a late model race in general. That’s all that needs to be said about that.
The Kosiskis won’t be involved in any future races. The SDN is essentially dead after this year. It’s not being moved anywhere so to speak.

sad that eagle wont run late models anymore, they used to be awesome there.

Tommy Estes. the promoter said it's 1/2 mile 3/4 the way up the track.
The gear LM's where pulling at I-70 was a fair amount higher then a I-80 and slighter deeper then belleville Ks

Can’t imagine Husets putting on a big event with only 18 cars showing tonight.
-
It’s Tuesday without the payout if I-80. I wouldn’t say tonight’s car count would be any sorta deterrent

8/13/16

Apparently everyone is at I-80 already. Not many peeps there.

I guess if it ain't broke then don't fix it. Eagle Raceway only had 133 cars this past Saturday night. Some places and regions just don't have to have Late models.
-
The new track at Shelby County Speedway in Harlan, IA is pretty badass and would be a great place for it.
-
Move the weekend dates to Husets, that was an entertaining feature.

The Races tonight at Husets where pretty good.
