Jeff Purvis sat down for an interview with Rick Houston and the first part of it has been posted on YouTube under “The Scene Vault”. Rick Houston and Steve Waid were with Winston Cup Scene newspaper back in its heyday and this podcast is an attempt to reconnect with some NASCAR history. They talk some dirt, some NASCAR in part 1. Cool story about talking guy at scales to turn his head and not weigh car.

Is considered one of the best dirt late model driver and would have been the goat had he stayed in dirt late model racing in my opinion.

Purvis can sometimes be difficult to listen to in interviews, but Rick Houston handles this well and Purvis is as well spoken as I've ever heard him, very entertaining. Looking forward to part 2, thanks for posting Jed.
