Default Winger out of a ride?

Guess the free-for-all set-off some stuff.

HA! I suppose GR came to the realization that Air Force costs too much in junk equipment and Gary isn’t that great of a setup guy.

I’ve never driven a race car in my life, but it seems if you’re wanting to travel and race full time, driving it at 99.9% is probably better than 101%. I do like Ashton tho. Hopefully GR can find a new shoe because the last thing anyone needs is GR back in the driver’s seat.

@King1 If that's the case, it doesn't say much about the competition down there, huh?

The real air force couldn't afford to have Ashton Winger as a pilot as he would crash and burn too many aircrafts just like what he does to race cars. Lol

Raise your hand if you thought this would last a whole season when it was announced.

The article says GR wants a driver to run the full Lucas tour. Why doesn’t GR just do it himself? He’s be guaranteed to improve as a driver if he ran a full season or two with the best in the nation.

The only two free agents that make sense are

    A.) Nick Hoffman
    B.) Darrell Lanigan

That Aston Winger sounds like he is a real " Hum Dinger " ? ?

GR Smith has had a lot of bad luck over the years. He was here at Lancaster a few years ago leading a race and on a restart got totally plowed into the wall by Downtown Michael Brown. Nasty wreck.

I wouldn’t even put Lanigan in the car. I don’t think full time touring interests him anymore.

I say Hoffman or a regional hotshoe like Bailes

I think Lanigan would give it another crack if he was strictly a helmet bag driver and met the car at the track

That’s pretty much what he stated in this weeks DirtonDirt article.

I have watched Winger a lot thought it was bad move to get in 89 car when his team was running really good. Winger flat sucked at Senoia Thursday and he is usually dominant there.

I would go with Hoffman. Given the right opportunity I think he would do well.

With the way a lot of these tracks are prepped now, I’d go with Josh Rice. He can rip it better than 99% of the drivers in the country
