Bryan Bernheisel Scores $5,000 Selinsgrove Super Late Model Win
Bedford Speedway on Tap this Friday

JONESTOWN, Pa. (07/25/22) – Bryan Bernheisel claimed his second win of the 2022 campaign on Saturday night in his Bernheisel Race Components No. 119 Dieffenbach’s / Pioneer Pole Buildings / Lazer Chassis Super Late Model.

The victory came at Pennsylvania’s Selinsgrove Speedway and was worth $5,000. Bernheisel inherited the lead after his dad, Jim was sidelined by mechanical woes, and went on to cruise to the triumph.

“We were a little unbalanced in the heat race and knocked the front bumper down while leading. Hats off to my crew. We had to work really hard after the heat to get it back together right for the feature,” Bryan Bernheisel noted. “Dad (Jim Bernheisel) had us covered until he broke. My car was pretty good too, but he was just a tick better. It’s disappointing as a team that we couldn’t pick up the one-two sweep, but we at least got one of us in Victory Lane.”

“We want to dedicate this win to Nanau (Jim’s mom and Bryan and Brandon’s grandma). This one is 110% for her.”

Bryan and Jim Bernheisel were back in action on Saturday evening at Selinsgrove (Pa.) Speedway for the track’s summer championship races.

In a field of 24 Late Models, Bryan secured his spot into the feature with a second-place finish in his heat race, while Jim raced from fifth-to-third in his eight-lap prelim.

With an all-Bernheisel front-row, Jim took command of the lead early but handed the top spot to Bryan, when he suffered a hole in his radiator, which forced him to retire on lap 17.

Bryan held off a charging Rick Eckert in the 25-lapper to capture his second win of the season and a $5,000 prize. He finished ahead of Eckert, Gregg Satterlee, Dylan Yoder, Andrew Yoder.
