Matt Cosner Scores $4,000 Winner’s Check in Gary Martz Memorial
Action Resumes August 12-13 with ULMS Doubleheader

RIDGELEY, W.Va. (08/02/22) – Matt Cosner collected the $4,000 winner’s check on Friday night at Pennsylvania’s Bedford Speedway in his Global Truck Outfitters No. 66c Nelson Auto Sales/ R.H. Lapp Mechanical Contractors/ Rocket Chassis/ Cornett Racing Engine Super Late Model.

Matt’s second win of the year came in the Gary Martz Memorial.

“The redraw put us on the front row for the feature, and we were able to capitalize on the opportunity. The car was on point for the feature, and I did my job and we got our second win of the year with a lot of family, friends, and sponsors around, so it made it extra special,” Cosner said. “On Saturday we hit the ground running early in the night and set fast time and won our heat. Unfortunately, we just weren’t very good in the feature and slid back to seventh.

“We’re taking this week off but next week we look forward to returning to action with the ULMS at Path Valley (Speedway) and Hagerstown (Speedway).”

Friday night found Matt Cosner in action at Bedford Speedway (Bedford, Pa.) piloting his Global Truck Outfitters No. 66c Late Model for the Gary Martz Memorial.

Starting on the pole for the feature via a third-place performance in his heat race, Cosner won by more than a four-second margin to capture his second win of the season and a $4,000 prize.

He took the checkers ahead of Jeff Rine, Kyle Hardy, Kyle Lee, and Bryan Bernheisel.

For the Living Legends Dream Race on Saturday at Port Royal (Pa.) Speedway, Matt secured set fast time in qualifications before securing his spot into the $5,000-to-win A-Main with a heat race victory. Battling the handle in the feature, Cosner slid back to a seventh-place finish in the 30-lapper.
