Tanner English Back on World of Outlaws Grind Following USA World 50 Triumph!

(NORRIS CITY, ILLINOIS) Tanner English, of Benton, Kentucky, secured his fourth checkered flag of the 2022 campaign last Friday night, August 12 in the unsanctioned 'USA World 50' at Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky! Tanner laid down the fifth quickest lap overall during the qualifying session before claiming a heat race triumph. After starting the 50-lap headliner from the outside of the front row, Tanner swept past pole-starting Jason Feger on the eighth circuit and never looked back. He bagged the $10,000 top prize over a top five that included runner-up Feger, Dylan Thompson, Matt Cooper, and teammate Jason Riggs!

Jason posted the tenth fastest time during qualifying and later placed third in heat race action. He then climbed from his seventh starting spot all the way up to third before his #81 machine got tight in the waning laps, which dropped him to fifth at the checkered flag. His brother Jack Riggs was also in competition last Friday evening at PIR. Jack knocked down the thirteenth quickest lap during qualifying prior to finishing sixth in his heat race and seventeenth in the 50-lapper. Complete results from the 'USA World 50' can be located online by clicking on www.paducahracing.com.

“Friday night’s win at Paducah was definitely a special one,” exclaimed English recently. “Dad (Terry English) had so much success at Paducah International Raceway and in the USA World 50 - winning it on four different occasions. Our program has definitely gotten better and better as the year has progressed, so hopefully there are some more big wins in store for us as we finish out the season. I’m looking forward to heading back east with the World of Outlaws this weekend and racing at a few new tracks!”

Tanner and his #81E Riggs Motorsports team will rejoin the World of Outlaws Case Construction Late Model Series tour from August 19-21 in a triple shot in the states of Pennsylvania and Ohio. A trio of $10,000 winner’s checks will be on the line on Friday at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, on Saturday at Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio, and on Sunday at Tri-City Raceway Park in Franklin, Pennsylvania. Tanner comes into the tripleheader second in the latest version of the WOOLMS point standings - 164 markers behind current leader Dennis Erb, Jr. Additional information concerning these three races can be found online at www.woolms.com.
