    Default Josh King interview

Boy I was sure surprised Rigsby, Shelton and all didn't edit the crap outta his interview, especially when it got to the streaming side. I thought Shelton was gonna cry He layed it out there how streaming isn't paying nearly nothing to the tracks. You could actually see the blood rush outta Sheldon's face. Well they Flo dirtvision are sure getting money from the fans they so love.

I’ve always heard the tracks don’t hardly get anything from streaming. If so, that’s BS. The promoter has all the risk. Having said that, I’m sure streaming is more costly than we all think it is. I’m just afraid they’re going to decide the only way to solve this is to make the fans pay more. I’d be willing to accept a few more advertisements rather than be asked to pay more.

Lots I could say, but I’ll just say, way to go, Josh.

The north/south was probably the last big money races to hop on the streaming bus, if I remember right. Josh has never been a fan of streaming races. I know of several people in my area that do not attend the n/s anymore because they know they can sit at home and watch it now.

I think promoters are starting to speak on the cons of ppv. Josh isn’t the only track promoter to speak up as of late.

Streaming services reap all the benefits and assume no risk. With the terrible camera man at Richmond...who do you think caught all the flack? It was the promoter. Sure the same thing happens at any other track if something is off with a stream. I will say this, though...at least the streaming services pay the track SOMETHING. FB live filmers are far worse for a track, imo. People will know someone is gonna go live so they just save their bucks and watch what they can for free.

Right, but if he has never been a fan, why would he agree to stream every race?

While I agree with him, lets flip that around a bit. Does every "Crown Jewel" big race have to be a sanctioned race that brings streaming in like Lucas, WOO, and XR?

These tracks have become afraid to promote races on their own without a sanction's help IMO.

A lot of people struggle with what “streaming” means.

Jabber, I agree 100%. If your getting the short end of it, then why stream every race ? I smell horse droppings, he went off on a rant yet nothing was edited. Again rotting cooter may smell better. I'll toss this out there, why do a few tracks, and I'm sure there is more, have there own streaming platform. Lernerville has there own, if you want to watch a regular Friday night show you have to buy in. I don't believe it's Flo or Dirtvision. I tried, unsuccessfully to find a Friday night program.

LOL ; Was Mr. King asked if he had the knowledge of the track being purposely prepared for the sole benefit of Josh Rices driving style as one 4m member implied ? ? LOL

Tracks have started streaming their own races so they aren't losing the money to someone else. They keep the rights and the sales of ppv or subscriptions, however they set it up. The problem isn't the streaming service itself, its the money behind it.

To say the people streaming it have no skin in the game isn’t exactly accurate…….
Where is the move over flag when you need it?????

Lucas and Flo do give the tracks something but WRG and summer nats give absolutely zero, nothing! Then expect a sanctioning fee or top of that.

Senoia has lost a lot of fans in the stands due to an old lady down there filming and trying to be a 20 years younger porn star on fakebook. Known as the shrimper.

Next on the hit list should be these top heavy purses. Hey its all well and fine to hear the 44 or the 49 have knocked down 500K. But,,,,,, the guy's in 10th are going broke! Until this situation gets addressed the future of this sport is in trouble.

Yes, I would like to hear an honest answer to that question for sure.
