Gregg Satterlee Rebounds for $7,333 Butch Renninger Memorial Victory
Four Days of Action at Eldora Speedway Up Next for “The Truth”

INDIANA, Pa. (09/06/22) – Overcoming a hard wreck on Friday night, Gregg Satterlee bounced back on Saturday evening at Port Royal Speedway to snare the $7,333 victory in the Butch Renninger Memorial.

His 10th win of the year back aboard his backup No. 22 Keyser Manufacturing / Classic Ink / XR1 Rocket Chassis / Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model.

"It's always a pleasure coming to run this race," Satterlee said in Victory Lane on Saturday night. "The first time I ever came to Port Royal (Speedway) was for the Renninger Memorial, and we were fortunate enough to win, so it's been a special event for us every year to come to. It's at our favorite racetrack and we've just got to know a lot of good people around here. Certainly, an honor to win this race again.

“I can’t say enough about my team. Last night we got pretty banged up at Bedford (Speedway) and had to go to the backup car today. We didn’t miss a beat though, and we were fast off the trailer.”

Friday night found Gregg Satterlee in action at Bedford Speedway (Bedford, Pa.), where he was piloting his Satterlee Motorsports No. 22 Late Model in the Labor Day 55.

With 32 Zimmer's United Late Model Series entries on hand, Satterlee captured the fast time honors in qualifying with a 19.255-second lap before placing second in his heat.

Mounting a late-race charge on leader Rick Eckert, Gregg attempted to sneak underneath Eckert on the bottom with two laps remaining but slid sideways and slammed into the wall. He was thankfully able to escape unharmed after the chain reaction collision saw another car connect with his driver side door.
For the Butch Renninger Memorial on Saturday at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.), Gregg was forced to unload his backup car, but it didn’t slow his roll.

He outdueled Alex Ferree in his heat race to pick up the win.

Grabbing the lead on the drop of the green flag of the feature, Satterlee led wire-to-wire in the 33-lapper to claim his 10th win of the season and a $7,333 prize. His 18th career ULMS trimph came 1.522 seconds ahead of Michael Norris with Austin Berry, Rick Eckert, and Alex Ferree completing the Top-5 finishers.

On Thursday and Friday the 52nd annual World 100 roars to life at the hallowed, half-mile oval. Twin $12,000-to-win programs are slated for each night with a $55,000 winner’s check awaiting Saturday night’s feature winner.

For anyone unable to attend the event, every lap of the four-day affair will be live at FloRacing and full race details can be found at www.EldoraSpeedway.com .
