Cotton Pickin’ 100 Roars to Life this Thursday-Saturday at Magnolia
$19,000 Possible-To-Win for Super Late Models PLUS Big Money for Local Divisions
COLUMBUS, Miss. (09/13/22) – The 2022 edition of the Cotton Pickin’ at Magnolia Motor Speedway roars to life this week.

The 2022 Magnolia State Cotton Pickin’ will be held on Thursday-Saturday, September 15-17.

On Thursday, September 15 the $3,000-to-win COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Super Late Model program that was rained out on September 4 will be held. Arm bands from the September 4 rainout can be used any day of the event. Grandstand admission is $20 and pit passes are $35

After Thursday’s program is complete a two-hour Open Practice Session will be held for anyone in any division, who would like to practice. Grandstand admission for practice is free, while Pit admission for practice is $20.

Anyone entering the pits for the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Super Late Model event will be charged $55 to cover pit admission for the race program and practice. If you are not staying for practice you have 30 minutes after the checkered flag drops on the Super Late Model feature to leave the pits and get $20 refunded. If you are just coming for practice you can pay $20 to get in after the completion of the Super Late Model program.

On Friday night, September 16 a $4,000-to-win/$300-to-start, Friday night, September 16 for the Super Late Models, while Saturday night, September 17 will see the division competing in a $12,000-to-win/ $700-to-start program.

The Super Late Model entry fee for the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series event on Thursday is $110, while the single entry fee covering Friday and Saturday’s action is $150 plus transponder fee.

Joining the Super Late Models on the weekend’s docket are big events for the Twin River Auto Sales Crate Late Models, Murphy Towing Late Model Sportsman, MSSS/ Trak Star Street Stocks, and William Wells 3 Star Tire and Auto Factory Stocks, The Eaton Clinic Modified Sportsman and The Eaton Clinic Hot Shots (Saturday ONLY).

The Twin River Auto Sales Crate Late Models will be competing for a $3,000 top prize. MSSS/ Trak Star Street Stocks will be competing for $2,000-to-win. William Wells 3 Star Tire and Auto Factory Stocks will be competing for $1,500-to-win, and Murphy Towing Model Sportsman will race for $1,500-to-win. The Eaton Clinic Modified Sportsman will be competing for $1,200-to-win. The Eaton Clinic Hots Shots SATURDAY ONLY will be completing for $500-to-win.

The MSSS/ Trak Star Street Stock division will be headlined by a $2,000-to-win/$100-to-start with a $75 Entry Fee, Plus Transponder Fee. Magnolia Motor Speedway Rules Apply.

The William Wells 3 Star Tire and Auto Factory Stock will be headlined by a $1,500-to-Win/$100-to-start with a $40 Entry Fee, Plus, Transponder Fee. Magnolia Motor Speedway Rules Apply.

The Murphy Towing Late Model Sportsman division will be headlined by a $1,500-to-Win/$100-to-start with a $50 Entry Fee, Plus, Transponder Fee. Magnolia Motor Speedway Rules Apply.

The Eaton Clinic Modified Sportsman division will be headlined by a $1,200-to-Win/$100-to-start with a $40 Entry Fee, Plus Transponder Fee. Magnolia Motor Speedway Rules Apply.

Hots Shots SATURDAY ONLY will be completing for $500-to-WIN/$50-to-Start, with a Transponder Fee. Magnolia Motor Speedway Rules Apply.

The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Super Late Model event (postponed from September 4, 2022) will begin at 7:00 p.m. CST on Thursday, September 15.

Open practice begins at approximately 9:00 p.m. for all divisions, once the CCSDS Super Late Model program is complete.

Friday night will see preliminary action for the Magnolia State Cotton Pickin’ as Super Late Models compete in a complete program that culminates with a $4,000-to-win/ $300-to-start feature. Twin River Auto Sales Crate Late Models, MSSS/ Trak Star Street Stocks, William Wells 3 Star Tire and Auto Factory Factory Stocks and Murphy Towing Late Model Sportsman and The Eaton Clinic Modified Sportsman will run their heat races.

B-Mains for all divisions will be contested on Saturday night along with a complete $12,000-to-win/ $700-to-start program for the Super Late Models, and The Eaton Clinic Hot Shots heats races. Last but not least, the Magnolia State Cotton Pickin’ Championships feature events will be held for all divisions.

Four Wheelers / ATV’s / Side by Sides / Golf Carts / etc pit passes are $25 for the weekend. At the end of the weekend / respective race night drivers can bring their pass back to the payout window to receive a $25 refund. Each team can get refunded for up to one (1) pass.
