Jason Riggs Sixth in Chasing the Dream Feature; English Back in Action Tonight at FALS

(NORRIS CITY, ILLINOIS) A huge week of racing was on tap at Eldora Speedway from September 7-10 and the action at the Rossburg, Ohio speedplant kicked off on Wednesday with a trio of 'Chasing the Dream' features, along with the conclusion of the rain-postponed 'Dirt Late Model Dream' from June. Sporting a special paint scheme, Jason Riggs timed in thirteenth fastest in his group to earn the inside of the seventh row for the start of his 20-lap main event. With a $5,000 top prize on the line in the second 'Chasing the Dream' feature of the evening, Jason was able to steer past seven competitors during the contest to land a solid sixth place effort behind only victor Mike Marlar, Chase Junghans, Garrett Smith, Joseph Joiner, and Mike Benedum!

Next up at the "Big E" was the 52nd Annual 'World 100,' which got underway with a pair of Twin 25 preliminary programs - each of which paid $12,000 to the winner. Jason unfortunately was not able to transfer into his 25-lappers on each occasion, as he finished sixth in his heat race and tenth in his B-Main on Thursday night before placing eighth in his heat race and third in his B-Main on Friday evening. In the 'World 100' on Saturday, which boasted a whopping $55,000 payday, Jason wound up twelfth in his stacked heat race and did not compete in his B-Main or the 100-lap crown jewel headliner. Complete results from the four days at Eldora Speedway can be accessed online at www.eldoraspeedway.com.

While Jason will take this week off from racing action, teammate Tanner English will carry the Riggs Motorsports banner to Fairbury Speedway for tonight’s big ‘One for the Road’ program. A $22,022 winner’s check will be up for grabs later tonight at the Fairbury, Illinois oval. The Castrol FloRacing Night in America Series will preside over the competition at #FALS, which will be headlined by a 50-lap feature event. Tanner finished second in this race one year ago behind only winner Brandon Sheppard! Watch the ‘One for the Road’ show LIVE on FloRacing and learn more by accessing www.fairburyspeedway.com.
