DTWC Format

These days this format does not really satisfy fans. Only heats first night. All other tracks and races that do this get trashed for it. I’m really curious as to why there isn’t a major uproar about this race still getting by with it. Especially with it being the season finale for Lucas. Seems like there would be a more interesting format.

Well, they did the draw and double heat format there for a little bit. But, fans don't run the show.

Essentially the same format they use for the PDC at Fairbury, just no $ on the line for the qualifying races at Portsmouth...

If I remember correctly, back in the Pennsboro days of the DTWC, at least some of them, the 1st and 2nd fastest qualifiers didn't even have to run a heat race. They automatically started on the front row of the 100 lap main. Now, wouldn't that get everyone in an uproar nowadays. Probably a good thing there wasn't social media back then.
