    Default Garrett Smith

Not sure how this race will end, but I told the DOD guys a year ago about this kid, but they wouldn’t listen. I think everyone knows who he is now.

Was the winner driving one of those washed-up Rockets, how can that be.

I would have thunk that Madden could have come up north to cherry pick at this event for an easy win for him. After all he might have been lucky enough to capture the pole and lead every lap on a notoriously 1 lane track ! !

Is Mallory still helping him? If yes, we can hazard a guess why he is so fast.

It's always rad when somebody new makes it to victory lane at one of these big touring races.

Madden has said numerous times that he wants to be there for his kids more.

Mark Richards was so happy to see one of his sh*tmobiles win from the front row again. Seriously though, good for that kid. Nothing beats seeing someone win that truly appreciates it.

There is advantage for some in the lesser performing chassis brands on these 1 lane freight train races that they do get a chance to win once in a while .

yes, but the driver still has to drive the car. Garrett was good both nights and even McCreadie mentioned needing to get better (to be able to beat him) in his interview friday. The track helped, but Garrett was going to be a contender regardless.

I don’t know this Garrett bunch at all or anything about him, but if he went 100 laps and beat some big name racers, front row or not, I’d be proud as heck of that kid if he was mine. Good lord…if the others are such big name drivers and you can’t pass the kid in 100 laps….then he kicked your butt, and he deserves accolades. What an accomplishment for the young man. Nice to see fresh faces win once in awhile. It’s good for the sport and everybody else associated with it.
