Shocker Hitch and Barnett Harley-Davidson to Support X-Mods at 2023 WWS
Mega Event Set for January 7, 8, 11, 13, 14, & 15, 2023 at Vado Speedway Park

VADO, N.M. (October 19, 2022) — The X-Mod division at the 2023 Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts at FK Rod Ends Vado Speedway Park will receive title support from Scott Bintz’ Shock Hitch and presenting sponsorship from Sherman and Christy Barnett’s Barnett Harley-Davidson.

While the title sponsor might be new, it’s led by a familiar name in Scott Bintz. The North Dakota business owner and racer has been a long-time supporter of the Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout with an array of his companies, including most recently RHRSwag.com.

For 2023 his Shocker Hitch entity will take the lead on title sponsorship for the X-Mod division.

“Having Scott as both an event participant and event sponsor for another year lets us know as a team we are taking care of our drivers and sponsors,” notes Event Marketing Director Jason Babyak. “I am always excited to find out what company, book, or product line Scott is looking to get the exposure that the Wild West Shootout offers, and I am excited to get that exposure for Shocker Hitch this coming January.”

Joining Shocker Hitch as X-Mod supporters for 2023 is event mainstay Barnett Harley-Davidson.

“We’re thankful to once again have great support from Sherman and Christy Barnett, via their great company Barnett Harley-Davidson and yet again, as racers. At 87 years young, Sherman has been racing much longer than most people he races against have been alive. To have a friend and event sponsor like that is rare and extremely special to me. His ability behind the wheel of a racecar is absolutely astonishing and unmatched,” added Babyak. “Similarly, Christy is one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet, and on any given night she’s a threat to go to Hoker Trucking Victory Lane on the track.”

Dubbed the “World’s most liked Harley-Davidson dealership,” Barnett Harley-Davidson is located in El Paso, Texas, and has become a stalwart sponsor of the Wild West Shootout each year, through company owner Sherman Barnett, who has also been a regular participant in the mid-winter event along with his wife Christy Georges-Barnett.
