Dennis Erb, Jr. Closes Out 2022 Season with Pair of Strong Runs at Senoia Raceway

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb Racing officially wrapped up their strong 2022 racing season on November 11-12 in the lucrative 'Peach State Classic' weekend at Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia. The Castrol FloRacing Night in America Series also concluded their season by sanctioning the pair of showdowns at the Atlanta-area facility.

On Friday night in the $20,000 to win 'Peach Bowl' opener, Dennis Erb, Jr. clicked off the quickest lap in Group A during the qualifying session and was leading his heat race until he mistakenly pulled into the infield under caution thinking the race was over. The Carpentersville, Illinois ace rebounded to finish fifth in his heat race prior to winning his B-Main and streaking past fifteen competitors during the rugged 50-lapper en route to an impressive fourth place effort behind only winner Kyle Bronson, Spencer Hughes, and Garrett Alberson.

At Senoia on Saturday evening, a whopping $53,053 paycheck was up for grabs in the 'Peach State Classic' finale. Dennis stopped the clock fourth fastest in Group B during qualifying and later placed second in his loaded heat race. After rolling off from the outside of the fourth row in the 75-lap season finale, Dennis was able to move past a couple of racecars to land in the sixth spot following the caution-free affair. The pair of solid Senoia finishes officially put Dennis eighth in the final Castrol FloRacing Night in America Series point standings despite skipping several series events throughout the year. Complete results from the season-ending Peach State double-dip can be viewed online by clicking on www.floseries.com.

“First off, a huge shout out to the Senoia track crew for their hard work and dedication throughout the weekend to get both of those shows in the books,” quoted Erb, Jr. this week following the conclusion of his season. “Our car had good speed both nights, we just started too far back in the feature on Friday night and then didn’t get a caution on Saturday. We had such a great year and I hate that it’s over, but we only have two months to get geared up for Speedweeks and it will be here before you know it. I have to thank Heather (Lyne) and everyone that chipped in helping on the car throughout the year, all of our great sponsors and product supporters, the fans, and just everyone that is a part of our team. It truly means a lot to have so many great people behind me!”
