Same sh!t. I really wish they would increase those events to minimum $7,500. 10 would be great. $5,000 to win is the new $3,000 to win.

With a new Hoosier costing in the $260 each range- 5k to win races for “any” series should be a thing of the past.

They need to drop the mods from the weekly shows, and use that to boost the LM purse. I remember Sam saying last year the tracks that hold the 5k shows, can't afford to increase the purses for both sides. I would almost bet 90% of the fans leave after the LM A main because of the horrible car counts theyve been getting in the mods.

Hopefully montpelier gets that Tuesday open spot. I believe small tracks like montpelier can't afford big money purses. The ones preaching 7 or 10k to win nightly willing to pay 5-10 dollars more general admission?

Yes Jim. But you don't think Dirtvision is making a killing off of us already?

DV probably is making killing but don't think tracks are off of DV.

If the national series can run a 1 day show paying $20k to win/$1k to start, surely the Summernationals can figure out how to pay at least $7500 to win/$750 to start for each race of this series. They were paying $5k to win for this series 30 years ago!

Agree on the purse structures. Those $5,000 and $1,500 to win payouts for both the late model and modified series are embarrassing. It's time to reward these guys and give more drivers incentives to run. LM1M is right....30 years ago purses.

AGREED!~!~! PAYOUTS NEED TO Increase a great deal with the late models. Sam had three of his top five in points not even run all of the races last year. IN ADDITION -- the points money is horrible. Shirley, Unzicker, Feger and others have all said, unless you are leading points the series isn't worth following.WOO and LUCAS motivate drivers to stay on their tours. UMP just basically says too bad.

with hoffman running WoO lms fulltime and limiting his mod starts to no more than 20, there should be a new hell tour mod champ!

What's the common demonization for UMP. Ole Sam "THE SCAM. Nothing will change with Ump till they dump him.

With a national series, the track is still on the hook for the purse but they are banking on more fans and more income with name drivers instead of "Jeff Willard from Mount Carroll, IL" I never heard how the summernationals track/sanction dynamic was but i know its a HEFTY gamble for tracks to host a national series.

I agree. Not trying to put down the Mods but the LM purse has been stuck on $5000 too long. And the $10k the same.
If you're not outraged, you're not paying attention!

A weeknight SN race sanctioning fee is $2500 on top of the purse. Then DIRTVision streams it to the fans and the track gets nothing. The problem is if there is a 20% chance of rain or more than a 45 minute trip everyone stays home and watches, again the track gets nothing. This is why you see the less popular non latemodel tracks on the schedule as they don’t know any better.

Something a lot of guys not from Michigan might not notice but Michigan is down 3 races from last year that just so happened are owned by the same guy. Stands were packed and had 35-45 cars at all. I called this last year when he bought Thunderbird. Heard he wrote some bad checks to Sam. He stated a couple times in some livestreams that he was in over his head with 3 tracks. Crossing my fingers this guy doesn’t put Michigan Late Model racing back a decade with his bonehead decisions.

Seems like an awful lot of "popular" late model tracks on the schedule that seem to know better. Not sure how that comment is relevant.
