But I thought people received better care because of the strike…….no really, some dumb azz actually claimed that.

My wife has to laugh at that because many is the time her nurses handle 5, 6, and on occasion more patients without complaint . But then they are a non-union shop. . .

Duh! Scab nurse, why do you think we went on strike? Not for pay! It’s because day in and day out we have had to take care of patients at perennially unsafe ratios! You’re lucky most of the regular acutely ill patients have either been diverted or transferred to other hospitals. You’re complaining about the 4:1 ratio for pt to nurse? I’ve seen 5:1 in the ICU and 15:1 in the regular med surg floors. You are getting paid top dollars to scab your fellow nurses and we live this life and deliver excelllent care to our patients despite the hospital’s cost cutting efforts to cut RN staff to the bare minimum…. And they wonder why we can’t attract nor retain talented and experienced nurses! This is our life, scab nurse and I hope you realize the sacrifices we are making in order to bring the truth out in the open. You just worked 1 day in Sinai while we’ve been here through Covid. Valiantly caring for patients and putting our lives and our family’s lives at risk when there was not even a vaccine in sight while our administrators like Ken Davis hid out in their big mansions in Florida. When everything settled, guess what? We didn’t even get a personal handshake or Thankyou from the administrators. We each got a slice of soggy pizza and were expected to be quiet about it. We were lauded as heroes in the media but when it came to issues that really mattered such as safe staffing, we were just zeroes for the year end bonuses of our greedy administrators. In the end, everyone suffers.

Mount Sinai's CEO received an annual compensation package of around $12.5 million dollars in 2019, which amount would pay for more than 100 full-time nurses. Unnamed executives at the hospital receive chauffeured travel and first class airline travel through the hospital. Yet somehow some people would have you believe that the problem at this institution is that nurses are "money grubbing."

They've been abused nonstop for the past 3 years.

They gave up their nights, their weekends, days and nights with their kids and families that they will NEVER get back. They worked double and triple shifts. They worked 6 and 7 day weeks. They gave up their last moments with dying relatives, missed their children's milestones, and haven't gotten a raise throughout. They were forced onto the front lines of the pandemic with inadequate equipment, no guidance or preparation for the virus, and had to soldier on and keep dealing with the crap after exposure to things and events that would leave many people with scars and PTSD. They watched their colleagues die.

    NYC banged pots for them.

Then, when vaccines became available without satisfactory completion of phase 1-3 clinical trials and full FDA approval, they were made to be the guinea pigs in a human trial they DIDN'T all give informed consent to. The ones that didn't, were fired.

Now they want to be paid for all the BS they put up with, and you and the rest of the virtue signaling lefties want them to go back to the plantation. How "progressive."

Would you rather they strike, or quit the profession altogether like so many of their colleagues? Then, whatever will NYC do when the next pandemic inevitably comes, having chased most of their hospitals and then their nurses away?

They have the option of working in a non union shop…..that way when they walk out on dying patients they can just call it quitting instead of striking.

Their patients are running out of patience

They struck for money, and crispy pizza while walking out on dying patients…..all right there in the words you just plagiarized.

They sign up for a hard job and when things get hard they walk out and let people die….that’s very dem-like.

If the nurse are dying who's going to take care of the patients? If all of the nurses are quitting who's going to take care of the Patients?

Who cares, as long as the nurses get what they want……..right?

They quit on dying patients in New York and called it a strike while they got their way all while more people than should have died…..died.

Any protest must have a goal. There are no specifics. They simply tell everyone that they are ill.
