    Default WOO points

Just looked at WOO website and it shows Chris Madden as driver point leader. Devin Moran is 24th. Hasn’t Moran won the first two races of the year? Can anyone clarify this?

^ Sad but true. McCready finished 2nd in both races and is mired down in 25th! ^

Points had to have been awarded for something I am not aware of. If I am remembering correctly Madden has 584 and Moran 300. Moran got 150 for each win. Not sure how Madden accumulated that many more points.

Subtract those 300 free bones and Moran WOULD BE your leader.

I had read that WoO bribed drivers with a 300 point bonus for those that agreed to sign up to run the whole series ?

Short summary: drivers who signed on with WOO pledging to run the entire tour we’re awarded 300 bonus points before the first race competition began. This is why the points does not line up with race results.

Thank you for the info. Wasn’t aware of this. Get points before even showing up to the track, interesting.

It was a pledge and pay. They essentially bought points.

Does anyone know how much the deposit was for them to sign on and get the 300 extra points? That is equivalent to winning 2 races.

No different than non regulars not getting championship points. Let's all the guys that are actually committed to the series know where they really stand vs coming out of Florida in 22nd in points. Just a way to ensure their guys are getting the benefits of the series from day one. I would guess theirs still a cut off date to declare and your eligible for those extra points up until the cut off date.
